Amanda Lamb is a career broadcast journalist, a podcaster, a public speaker, and an author. For 35 years she was a local television reporter focusing on the crime beat. She has published 12 books including true crime books, memoirs, and mystery novels. Since 2020, she has co-produced 3 true crime episodic podcasts and produced a daily news podcast. She is now focusing her attention on her company, Stage Might Communications and producing a podcast called "AGELESS: Opening Doors with Amanda Lamb" which features the stories of women over 50 who are transforming their lives and sharing their journeys and wisdom in a raw, intimate conversations.
Putting in and taking out contacts, the bane of my existence...
Lately, I started thinking about all the things I'm not very good at. It's hard to believe that I've lived on the planet this long and still haven't mastered some basic skills. I guess I've just been busy doing other things. Anyway, not being good at something has never stopped me before. I keep trying. So, I decided to share some of my shortcomings with you to see if you have ever dealt with these same things. In the process, I hope these videos make you smile! I have constant problems with my contacts…getting them in and out of my eyes. Sometimes, I forget to take them out and they end up scrunched under my eyelid, no joke. My eye doctor then has to take them out. You would think something so routine as putting in and taking out contacts would get easier after all these years…

When your runway is short, why rush to get to the end? Enjoy the flight, do a few loops, and maybe even some barrel rolls. It’s all about the journey, not just the destination! ✈️✨
Never understand. I don't trust driver's in shopping malls, parking lots as they don't ever ever look so learned to park in backwards so i could see speeding drivers before i exit the space. .Once you get used to your car, it becomes second nature.
"How are you supposed to back without a backup camera." You know those things on the side of the car are mirrors right? You shouldn't have to turn around to back into a spot use the side mirrors/rear view mirror. Every time you turn your head you disorient yourself. I drive a truck for a living you can't turn around in a truck it does no good you have to use the mirrors. Also practice makes perfect. Invest in a couple of cones and go to an open parking lot to practice where theres no pressure. Its how I learned to back a trailer.
Thanks, you know just for the record, this is supposed to be funny. I am aware of the side mirrors and I do use them! But I am sure in your line of work that you are very good at everything that involves vehicles. My brother used to drive a truck. I don’t know how you guys do it!

I have some problems using our printer. My wife, on the other hand, is a wiz. Of course she was a secretary for many years. I had issues with my laptop camera this morning. Did I tell you I hate medical video connect appointments!
It’s always good to have one person who understands the tech stuff in the house!
That wasn't bad at all. Using mirrors helps. Practice, practice... To be honest, I have trouble parallel parking and I've been driving since I was 18. Now 74. I've driven semi trucks, heavy tow trucks and other vehicles the general public doesn't normally drive. You did well, though distracted by the camera person.
